Saturday, February 19, 2011 :: Fashion Trends 2011
This has got to be my favourite season ever. Time to close the doors to your all black ensemble and welcome colorful pieces to your otherwise boring closet.
These are the colors for 2011 Spring!!
I tellllllllllllllll you, my favourite colors are:
Honeysuckle (watermelon pink) – 18-2120
Peapod (soft emerald green) – 14-6324
Beeswax (mustard) – 14-0941
Lavender (Purple Liliac) –15-3817
Silver Peony (light rose dust) – 12-1206
FAINTED.
I LOVE HONEYSUCKLE! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? THIS COLOR IS SUPERRRRR DUPPPERRR PRETTY!!!!
THEN I LIKE PEAPOD AND BEESWAX AND SILVER PEONY!!!! OMG……DAMN DELICIOUS COLORS!
Take a look at H&M lookbook for 2011. This honeysuckle pink color is voted the color of the year by Pantone. Together with several reddish hue undertones and colors of almost similar range, expect these colors coming up in VGY too :) I have a supperrrrr dark red maxi coming up which is just absolutely pretty. And maxi dresses are coming back!!! I can’t be happier!
Splashes of earth tones to neutralize the bright shades this spring are also welcomed. Earth tones ranges from wearable brown earthy tones to Santa Fe rusty red (yes!!! you will see this red in VGY new collection!) Of course, white is a favourite this season! Oh well, it has always been :p
The classic blue and it’s accompanying range of undertone blues. Think of dusty blue, aqua blue, and pantone’s selection; Blue Curacao (15-4825). Nothing gets more classy than blue~
Expect pleated front maxi in VGY new collection in blush nude~
Doesn’t this shade look so pretty?
AND MY FAVOURITEEEEEEE!!! (after honeysuckle)~~~~

MUSTARD!!!! This color is insane! How come no one thought of this before!?
FOR SPRING 2011, I have a new shoe to go together with all my outfits :p
Figured that neutral earth colors like camel and wood can neutralize all the bright tones that I am wearing so………
PRETTTTTYYYYY AINT IT!???
This pair of camel suede wooden platform wedges is even prettier in real life! But it is quite hard to balance compared to my previous clog heels. But who cares!
THIS IS LEG CANDY CANNNNNN!!!

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 :: A CNY Post
I hope the best for 2011 as I embark on a new year of hopes, dreams and resolutions with J!
CNY was a great start tho the feelings for this festive season was not in the air till reallllyyy late. You guess it, I even skipped spring cleaning. My room – still in an utter mess but the good thing; my life – working towards a goal with J.
Took some photos during CNY ;) Mainly during car rides geez.
Haha J look like he’s carrying a baby.
Her likes in FB is always higher than mine –.-
Tintin was falling asleep haha
Gahhhh, don’t understand –_- but the calligraphy is so pretty isn’t it?
Ran into an empty room, away from naggy adults~
Tintin was so playful she messed up her cheongsam and fur
It was gamble through the night~
Haha it was easy for those born in the year of rabbit to wear a set of wabbit ears~ I was thinking what can I wear to gamble next year for good luck. I am born in the year of dragon. Now you tell me.

CNY Day 2
Thanks to J, I had such lovely hair during CNY :)
I will blog about the eye shadow used on my eyes in my Makeup Buys Part 2 post.
Blush dress worn sold like hotcakes in Vainpot. It will also be released on VGY online and KissJane.
If you remember few posts back I mentioned I will head down to Roland for a CNY meal and I did :) Haha I love it how we have personalized services when we are there. Look at Justin serving us personally and recommending dishes suitable for a light CNY meal.
Couldn’t take much photos as I was busy eating haha.
The must-order almond prawns~
This dish called famous USA duck is just too fantastic.
I ordered the yam and salted egg crab again because I just can’t forget it after my first time!
My bill for the day was only $140 for 5 pax. You have prawns, duck, veg, crab, all for $150 in generous portions. This gives Jumbo seafood a run for its money. If you have too much money to spare, go try dining @ Jumbo. Waste money waste time. And I have a bad experience there. Pff.
This is the one restaurant I will always recommend. After trying the food here @ Roland’s Seafood, it isn’t hard to understand why Lee Kuan Yew will hold a banquet there with 200 tables. Yes you heard me right~
Classy ambience – checked
Good food – checked
Seafood freshness – checked
Service quality – checked
Generous service portions – checked
Value for money – checked
I am definitely going there once again for the next family dinner :)
Once again, Justin is very nice to offer 15% discount off food to my readers.
Look for Justin & mention you are a vaingloriousyou reader to get the discount off your bill!
Terms and Conditions apply.
You can find Roland Seafood @ 89 Marine Parade Central, #06-750 (LEVEL 6 CARPARK)
Call them @ Tel: 6440 8205 for reservations

It was then another round of Bai Nian~
Look at Tintin doing tricks making me proud haha. Her short legs are soooo cute!
Then it was off to Ang Bao River for celebrations before our night gambling session! Look at the amount of human traffic. I almost fainted and developed a fear for “humanotraffico” before the green man came on.
OHMYTIAN here they come.
I was thinking what was J looking at so fervently…

He was thinking how to win one of these for me hahahaha!
In the end J won a pencil box and I gave it away to a little girl hahaha
We paid to pee in our pants playing this upside-down-stomach-curdling-hair-standing-makes-me-wanna-puke roller coaster.
When it was almost our turn, I told J my shit was coming out hahahahaa
Took a photo of fortune god and we won big bucks in gambling after that haha

CNY Day 3
Wore my ring upside down. Can’t stand people wearing this ring the wrong way yet I did just that >< And I hate it so much seeing the fake version of this ysl ring being sold online! :(
I really have to thank J for making my hair look so luscious for CNY! :*) I love it so much! He has been treating my hair with products and it turned out so shiny and voluminous for the new year! You can look for him at Salon Vim if you would like some advice on the right products to use for your hair. His recommendations never fail to work well on my hair :) Now I understand the importance of using the right shampoo, hair mask, conditioner; things that I usually do not bother in the past resulting in my hair being so limp and such a turnoff.
J is such a dear. He is so willing to pick me up from school, drive me to places, help me with VGY stocks delivery and much more :*) I am so thankful to him and all these little things he do for me really warm my little heart.
Do you realized CNY mornings is always a mad rush? I don’t even get the time to paint my nails for the three days, nor was I able to iron my clothes. Not that I need to iron but...haha just to make my point. My makeup was so terribly done on this 3rd day thanks to the mad morning rush tsk.
Oh! This red cheongsam collar-cut romper is sold in VGY KissJane! It is available in cream as well. Match it with a belt to cinch in at your waist and it’s crazy pretty~ I LOVEEEEE this romper! Can fit UK 6 – 10 well!
J & I head out to Zouk at night..to stop ourselves from gambling. Haha no, im just kidding :p
And that summed up my Chinese New Year! :)
My next post will be on Valentine’s Day! Booked 2 restaurants @ Shangri La Hotel for an early celebration cuz J had to work on V day.
Come back again to find out which restaurant I went to eventually!
Hope you guys had a wonderful Valentine’s Day with your loved one! <3!
With Love,Tricia
