Personal Selling Post 2

 

Hello! Been busy working at Vainpot, interviewing, training new salesgirls, preparing for new collection launch and tagging stocks for KissJane. What a week! How did your week go? :)

I find that time passes too quickly nowadays. Just few days ago, the radio mentioned national day preparations are underway and I gasped at the sudden slap of reality – it is almost July. Very soon, I will be attending the next ZoukOut hahahaha :p No kidding, it will be a busy month juggling school, festive seasons like Xmas & CNY collection launches, Vainpot events.

Oh, I have submitted an awfully pretty design for CNY launch. It is going to be the pride of VGY hehehe. I honestly expect it to be a sell-out at the 2012 CNY collection. J who usually don’t usually go gaga or show over-the-top expressions actually nodded his head fervently and ended with a “omg confirm sell out” word of assurance to me teehee.

But then again, I don’t wanna bring expectations so high. Later you all don’t like the design how? So, keeping my fingers crossed! I am hoping to send a 2nd design for manufacturing to be available in the year-end festive season collection but I am unable to make satisfactory changes to it, yet.

At the same time, 1 maxi design which I drew out from my own imagination was rejected by a supplier –______- She said I have to provide the actual piece so manufacturing is possible because……she don’t understand my drawing. ALAMAK! My drawing not so bad ok. But sigh, hard to communicate the design I wanted in mind and I scrapped it off in the end.

 

HOW TO PROVIDE AN ACTUAL PIECE FOR YOU WHEN I DREW IT OUT FROM MY OWN IMAGINATION AND INSPIRATION WITHOUT ANY REFERENCE TO OTHER DESIGNS OUT THERE

I always believe plans may fail sometimes no matter how well-planned they have been. But your ability to move on quickly may open other doors of opportunities. Simply because you allow yourself to see more of the world out there. And things happen for a reason.

What if the maxi have been manufactured in such a big qty but the design or cutting is so bad no one buy them?? It’s gona be a huge loss for me. So optimistically, it could be a blessing in disguise :] At least, I hope so.

If I had not been so optimistic, I think I would have kill myself having landed in a big debt last yr hahaha, no joke man –.-

Anyway, here comes the selling post I promised. I actually have more designs but they are sold out after I posted photos on Twitter (@vaingloriousyou) when I wore it out.

And the coat + beret which I wore to HK are already sold out so pleaseeeeee don’t email me for it!!

Most of my items are quite new as I wear them only once unless otherwise stated. So the condition is like….9.5/10 lol. I have not really wear out the value of the apparel and I am now selling it at a loss. So I prefer to sell it to quick and decisive buyers. These are my personal clothes so I get to choose who to sell to right? ;)
